Home Garden

This morning my dad and I put up our home garden.  I am absolutely thrilled!!  I have done tons of gardening at the holly farm but there is a different rewarding feeling that comes with digging in your OWN garden!!  It’s so nice to have one “for my own particular use.” 😉  It’s a small start but I just can’t wait to harvest all the veggies!  Here’s what I planted: Carrots, Radishes, Bush Beans, Cabbage, Broccoli, Onions, Lettuce, Cilantro, parsley, and dill.  My dad worked really hard at putting up the fence.  It’s not a beauty, but it’s certainly sufficient to keep out the “wabbits”.

  1. yeeeah….I personally prefer NOT to, but it’s not up to me. I figured that I will be the plant person and let my dad be the chicken person. LOL

  2. I count it a blessing (yes, even with the blisters on my hands) to be able to give you your very own plot of soil surrounded by a bunny-proof barrier. I look forward to eating those yummy radishes and other assortment of goodies in the months ahead. Hmmm, wonder if chicken poop makes good furtilizer?
