A Washington Christmas

Having family in two different states means alternating Christmases with the two families. No matter who we are spending it with, we always look forward to the quiet and quality time spent celebrating the birth of Christ and His work in our lives. This year found us in Washington state for Christmas! We were able to go the week before and enjoy all of the festivities leading up to the holiday. We spent an afternoon at a local nursing home singing and playing Christmas songs for the residents. Chloe was the best entertainer of all! A must for the agenda was visiting A Knot in Thyme, a local holly farm owned by some friends of ours. We always enjoy their horse-drawn wagon ride and of course the good chats over hot apple cider. Overall it was a low-key time (kids certainly change things!) with a lot of coffee dates and lunch outings. Grammy and PawPaw got a lot of time with the kiddos as we sat around reminiscing and being entertained by the kids’ shenanigans. And there were lots of them!
